PATRÓN Tequila and Rolling Stone Surprise Fans with an Encore of The Green Room Event featuring Dasha

While October marked the end of Austin’s largest annual music festival, PATRÓN Tequila and Rolling Stone decided to throw one last hurrah with an epic performance by country pop star Dasha in another installment of The Green Room event series. Just a week earlier, festival-goers were given an incredible concert experience with MisterWives, so it was only fair to run it back, and close out the festival’s final day with a bang.

Before taking the stage, Dasha joined Rolling Stone News Supervising Producer, Delisa Shannon, for an exclusive interview. There, she spilled insider information and even dropped some hints about new songs that may be coming out early next year. Dasha found herself reminiscing about her festival performance, which took place two days earlier, and celebrating with her favorite PATRÓN Ranch Water cocktail served in a crowd-favorite PATRÓN Collectors Cup, which fans can now get themselves on Reserve Bar. 

For Dasha, who recently wrapped on her first ever Austin festival appearance, the excitement for giving a more carefree performance at the Green Room event was palpable. “I get to show the audience a more intimate side, instead of them being one hundred feet behind a barricade,” she said. The pressure with the festival performance now off, it also allowed her to celebrate with PATRÓN Tequila, which she loves not just for its taste but also for its additive-free quality; “…it’s hard being on the road, it’s hard on your body, and you want to celebrate” without feeling worse for it.  

The performance, which included many songs – old and new – was one to remember. Dasha entered the courtyard to her fans surrounding the stage, excited to be inches away from the country-singing pop star. A fan in the front row, dressed in a sequined cowboy hat, sang every lyric, interacting with Dasha who pointed at them and sang right back. “I’m a storyteller, first and foremost,” Dasha explained, and fans clearly knew and felt this with every single word. 

As the band jammed through their set, fans danced to banjo, violin, acoustic guitar and pop drums, narrated by Dasha who gave personal anecdotes about what each song was about. To close out the set, Dasha gave a toast to her fans and PATRÓN for creating such a legendary experience, before hopping in the crowd to dance with her fans. “Anyone know how to line dance?” Dasha asked, while introducing her hit song, “Austin.” Immediately, she was greeted by her Austin fans, ready to welcome Dasha with open arms into the very city responsible for her career-defining song, which peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, this past June.

Dasha wasn’t the only celebrity to rub shoulders with guests at the intimate event – Netflix’s Love Is Blind stars Johnny McIntryre and Amy Cortés were seen waiting in line to receive their custom chain-stitched bandanas, while sipping the I Love You So Much cocktail, an espresso martini-inspired drink mixing PATRÓN XO Cafe Coffee Liquor, PATRÓN Tequila Silver, cold brew coffee and chocolate bitters. The event’s signature cocktail, the PATRÓN Ranch Water was a favorite, with three simple ingredients; fresh lime, sparkling water and PATRÓN Silver, the Tequila that established the ultra-premium category and remains the gold standard to this day, handcrafted with three natural ingredients.

The attention to small details were there for all to see and appreciate. The entire venue was filled to the brim with green décor, a vibrant green wall of ‘speakers’ for photo moments and other unique accents. Aesthetically, the space provided an elevated experience that felt authentic to what you’d find backstage. Guests entered the South Congress Hotel courtyard to discover unlimited hors d’oeuvres and creative, music-inspired cocktails with garnishes like guitar picks, collectable mini vinyl records, mini cowboy hats, and even a chocolate guitar. 

While some guests snapped pictures in front of the massive PATRÓN photo wall, others found themselves taking pictures with a guest’s adorable long-haired dachshund in a cowboy hat. Across the room, glam station makeup artists treated guests with fresh, custom looks and fun facial stickers to match the vibe. Prior to her monumental performance, Dasha enjoyed getting her cowboy boots shined at the shoe-shining station and taking pictures in the mirror of the glam station with her custom bedazzled PATRÓN Silver Tequila bottle. “This is adorable!” Dasha exclaimed, admiring her new tequila keepsake, which had her name spelled out in pink jewels. Some lucky guests even scored custom denim jackets, with personalized stitching, like Anthony Jones, a well-known Austin cocktail influencer who goes by “TheATXDrinker”. 

As the event wrapped, the energy certainly did not. Fans left with new friends and cheerful smiles, feeling lucky to have experienced all The Green Room had to offer, thanks to PATRÓN Tequila.
