The Critics Choice Awards is right around the corner. After being postponed due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this month, the 30th annual awards ceremony is now set to air live this Friday, Feb. 7. Chelsea Handler returns to host the show located at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California. The three-hour award event will broadcast live at 7 p.m. ET on the E! and available on Peacock the next day. You can also stream for free live on DirecTV Stream, Fubo, and Hulu+ With Live TV.
While the Critics Choice Awards honor the best in film and television over the past year, a number of music stars have made the nominations cut. Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are nominated for best actress and best supporting actress, respectively. The record-breaking musical is also nominated for best picture and best acting ensemble.
The award season darling, A Complete Unknown is nominated for best picture. The Bob Dylan biopic star, Timothée Chalamet is also up for best actor, while Edward Norton is nominated for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Pete Seeger.
Miley Cyrus, Maren Morris and Robbie Williams are all nominated for best song, while the six nominees for best original score were exactly the same as those nominated for Golden Globe Awards: Volker Bertelmann for Conclave; Daniel Blumberg for The Brutalist; Kris Bowers for The Wild Robot; Clément Ducol and Camille for Emilia Pérez; Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Challengers; and Hans Zimmer for Dune: Part Two. Clément Ducol and Camille won the award for “El Mal.”
Wicked and Conclave will battle it out with the most nominations – 11 each, including best picture, best acting ensemble, and best director. Dune: Part Two and Emilia Perez are right behind them with 10 nods each. For the full list of Critics Choice Award nominees, click here.
