Christine Brown, who stars on TLC’s Sister Wives, is responding to rumors that she and husband David Woolley have called it quits.
Brown, 52, and Woolley, 61, tied the knot in October of 2023. The reality star took to social media on Wednesday, February 12, alluding to speculation of trouble in paradise.
“I’m always surprised with what I read about myself! 🤣 Don’t you worry, we couldn’t be happier,” Brown captioned an Instagram Reel of happy moments with Woolley.
Christine and Woolley got together after her 2021 split from Kody Brown, the patriarch of a polygamist family. Sister Wives documented her unconventional relationship with Kody, 56, with whom she shares six kids.
Following her separation from Kody, Christine debuted her romance with Woolley in February 2023. He popped the question two months later, and the pair exchanged vows in Utah that fall. “I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2024, saying that she’d fully embraced monogamy. “I was made for it.”
Christine said she appreciates that she and Woolley are in “totally a partnership,” noting at the time that “there’s no keeping score” in their union. “I’m very grateful for everything that happened to lead me here.” she said. “I love where I’m at.”
Fans of Sister Wives have remained invested in Christine’s life, post-Kody, and she still appears on the series — with Woolley by her side. At first he was camera-shy, but his wife considers him a “totally refreshing” addition to the cast.
“We’ve gone through a lot of hard times and I think having David in our lives and having him with me gives a whole new experience for all of us when we watch the episodes,” she told Us. “I don’t dread it. I love watching when we’re in it and it’s been a really nice reprieve.”
Christine revealed that she’d been anxious about how Woolley and her ex would get along. “I dreaded it, probably way more than David,” she said, acknowledging that the two men were “a little bit awkward” around each other initially. “But when it came down to it, we just realized everyone’s just gonna do the best they can and we’re just gonna be in the same space with each other for the rest of our lives, and we just need to be adults about it. … They were just gentlemen.”
Meanwhile, Christine was enjoying having Woolley all to herself, especially in the mundane moments of marriage.
“The thing that we do the most that I love is just our morning coffee together,” she said. “Or when it comes home from work, we sit and we chill in the kitchen while I’m making dinner and we just sit and talk about our days.”
She added: “I just love all the simple things that we do more than anything. It’s just so much security and it’s so much simplicity. I just don’t know our favorite date. We’ve just had a lot of amazing times.”
