Maria Georgas Denies Dating Pete Davidson, Says He Isn’t in Rehab
Maria Georgas is setting the record straight about her relationship — or lack thereof — with Pete Davidson.
“Never dated Pete,” the Bachelor alum, 30, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, November 19. “False rumor! I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”
The U.S. Sun reported on Monday, November 18, that Georgas and Davidson had started dating before the Saturday Night Live alum went to treatment.
“Just spoke to his sister he’s not in rehab and has been sober for months,” Georgas added on Tuesday. “Can’t believe this s— it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He’s literally home.”
The speculation came on the heels of Davidson’s ex Madelyn Cline confirming that the pair split earlier this year. When asked what it was like to be with someone who has a highly publicized dating life, Cline told Nylon in September, “The jokes write themselves.” (Prior to his relationship with Cline, Davidson has been linked to several A-listers including Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.)
Georgas, for her part, came into the public eye when she vied for the affections of Joey Graziadei on season 28 of The Bachelor. Georgas, who became a fan-favorite, was eliminated following hometown dates. After the season came to a close, fans expected Georgas or fellow contestant Daisy Kent to be crowned the next lead — but the title went to Jenn Tran instead.
Georgas later admitted during a May appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she signed on to be the Bachelorette but backed out. “I was offered the role. It was mine until I said it wasn’t,” Georgas said. “It became very overwhelming to the point where I had to decline.”
The following month, Tran said she was “disappointed” to see the narratives that were “not necessarily the truth.” Tran explained that with every season of The Bachelorette, there are “multiple people” in the running.
“Multiple people are being interviewed, or doing meetings about it all, doing fittings or filming intro packages, and it’s never really you until it’s you,” she said during her own “Call Her Daddy” appearance.
After Tran got engaged to Devin Strader during The Bachelorette finale — and revealed that they were no longer together — the season 21 lead questioned why he followed Georgas on Instagram the morning after their split.
Days later, Strader released a 13-minute video sharing his side of the story and “taking full accountability” for following Georgas. After she was pulled into the relationship drama, Georgas shared a video claiming she had never met Strader.
“My character, my innocence, my peace is important to me. And I will not f–k that up for no one,” she said. “This is the last thing I want. Let’s just put it to rest.”
