Love Is Blind’s Amber and Matt Celebrate Baby Shower With Show Alums

First comes love, then comes seeing each other face-to-face, then comes a baby in the baby carriage — at least that’s the case for Love Is Blind stars Matt Barnett and Amber Pike.

On Sunday, February 9, the pair celebrated the impending birth of their first child together alongside friends and fellow contestants Cameron Reid Hamilton and Lauren Speed. The proud soon-to-be parents shared photos from the big day on Instagram. “Amber and Matt’s Baby Shower!!! I can’t wait to see the little one!” Hamilton captioned the post.“Also, it was water in Amber’s cup.”

The first season of Love Is Blind aired in February 2020, nearly two years after it was filmed. The duo had been married for the same amount of time and promptly quarantined together during the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They celebrated their fifth anniversary in November 2023 — something Pike noted on Instagram. “5 years later and somehow I really do love you more today than the day we said ‘I do.’ Don’t get me wrong, every day hasn’t been perfect and Lord knows there is plenty that we have gotten wrong over the years, but the most important thing that I’m so thankful that we’ve gotten right is how much we are willing to work for each other to keep growing together,” she wrote.

“I love you more today than I did then, not because our love is perfect (or ‘blind’ 🙄), but because our eyes are wide open and our love is deliberate and intentional. Our love is greater now than it was then because it is a choice we have made and put effort into every day for the past 5 years and I know that is something we will continue to do for the rest of our lives.”

The pair announced their first pregnancy during an interview on the “Love Seat” podcast on October 8, 2024.

“I sent myself back to school because I felt like we were in a place where I could do that, like, I had the support and I was mentally there,” Pike said at the time. “Then, over summer break, he just went and knocked me up.”

The pair also shared a series of photos from their relationship on Instagram, where they confirmed their pregnancy news. “Where it started, Where we’ve been, Where we’re at…” Pike wrote in the caption.
