Influencer Laleska Alexandre Dead at 28 After Sepsis: Report

Fashion Influencer Laleska Alexandre died after complications from an ovarian infection, according to multiple reports. She was 28.

Alexandre died on Wednesday, February 5, after she was hospitalized in Cariri, Brazil, according to CNN Brasil. The outlet confirmed Alexandre’s passing through her cousin, noting that the social media personality suffered septic shock after a fallopian tube infection.

Alexandre’s cousin, Karízia Temóteo, further told the news organization that the influencer felt unwell before she was admitted to the local hospital. She ultimately had an exploratory emergency surgery that reportedly confirmed Alexandre’s infection was at an advanced stage.

Local outlet O Globe also reported that Alexandre died from complications stemming from an abscess in her ovary.

A Tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA) is a severe complication of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Per a Mayo Clinic definition, PID most often occurs when sexually transmitted bacteria is spread from the vagina to the uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries. A TOA occurs when a collection of pus forms in the reproductive tract.

Further details about Alexandre’s death have not been publicly shared. She is survived by her family and friends.

“I love you forever, I will remember you as the sweet, faithful, determined, hard-working girl who never gave up in the face of adversity, who always tried her best,” one of Alexandre’s pals wrote via social media.

Another added, “So beautiful, striving for her goals. I will always love you friend 😭🖤.”

Alexandre was best known for sharing fashion and styling tips with her 26,000 social media followers. Many of her fans also memorialized her legacy via Instagram comments.

“People in heaven I’m shocked, what happened? I’ve been following Laleska for a while and I loved her content, I still can’t believe it,” one fan wrote.

Another replied, “I can’t believe it, I followed and admired it a lot. Que triste 💔.”

In addition to working as an influencer, Alexandre was the CEO of brands Loja La Vestiair, La Brand Brasil and La Agência Laleska Alexandre.

“Using image positioning and communication to your advantage can be transformative for your career and personal life,” she wrote via Instagram in November 2024 of launching her own publicity firm. “This is just the tip of the iceberg, I hope to see you at a meeting! … Invest in yourself, this will definitely be your best investment.”

Alexandre also aimed to help her fans dress their best.

“If you want to learn how to dress strategically, understand what colors and modeling favor you and raise your presence with confidence, this is your chance,” she wrote via Instagram in January, highlighting her consulting program.
