Golden Bachelorette’s Dan Roemer Addresses Edith Aguirre Romance Rumor

Former Golden Bachelorette contestant Dan Roemer is weighing in on romance rumors between him and The Golden Bachelor’s Edith Aguirre.

“When we met you, it seemed as though you and Edith were getting to know each other. I want to know, curious minds want to know, did it go any further? Are you guys seeing each other? Are you a thing or just friends?” cohost Susan Noles asked on the Wednesday, February 12, episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, to which Roemer, 64, replied, “Edith is awesome, first of all. What’s not to love about Edith? She’s so great.”

When Noles, 67, quipped that she wants Aguirre’s hair, Roemer replied, “Right? Isn’t that great? It’s fantastic.” When it comes to their potential relationship, Roemer explained that he has been spending time with family following the death of his dad, who had been diagnosed with Glioblastoma.

“I really haven’t had an opportunity to date, period. We live on opposite coasts,” Roemer, who resides in Florida, said. “So if I was in L.A. …”

Cohost Kathy Swarts interrupted to interject, “Dan, you told me. The five seconds that I got to talk to you at Joan [Vassos] and Chock [Chapple]’s engagement party when you weren’t otherwise engaged, you told me that you were thinking about moving to L.A.”

Roemer explained that his moving timetable has gotten “pushed” but he’s still thinking about relocating to Orange County, which is near his daughter and son-in-law.

“That’s been my plan and is my plan,” Roemer said. “But I’m not on a timeline. So, maybe at some point this year I can get that handled. But I’ve got real estate here, I’ve got things to take care of.”

Bachelor Nation met Roemer when he vied for the affections of Vassos, 62, on season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette, which aired in 2024. (Vassos ultimately accepted a proposal from Chapple, 61, in the season finale.) Aguirre, 62, for her part, was a contestant on The Golden Bachelor season 1, where Gerry Turner got engaged to Theresa Nist. (The pair tied the knot in January 2024 and divorced months later.)

As Roemer navigates dating after appearing on Joan’s season of The Golden Bachelorette, he addressed the possibility of joining a Bachelor in Paradise spinoff for the Golden alum.

“I don’t understand Bachelor in Paradise and what would go on with us Golden people,” Roemer said. “But I’m open to anything, absolutely.”
