George Clooney may be gearing up for his Broadway debut, but Valentine’s Day with wife Amal Clooney is not getting put on the backburner.

“I have special plans, why would you ask such a question?” George, 63, joked with Access Hollywood on Thursday, February 6. “She might see this. What would happen then?”

George and Amal, 47, met in 2013 and got married the following year. The couple welcomed twins Alexander and Ella, in June 2017. According to George, the whole family has relocated to New York City ahead of his stage show.

“They’re in New York. We’ve been here the whole time,” he said before sharing what they’ve been up to. “You know, the normal things that children do which is, apparently you have to educate them, which I was shocked by. They’re in school.”

George gushed that the family is “having fun” during their time in the Big Apple.

“My wife is dealing with me walking around doing lines in a play all day long, so I think she knows it better than me,” the actor joked.

George will be starring as journalist Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck, which is set to start previews next month and will run through the beginning of June. The stage show is an adaptation of the 2005 film of the same name, which was directed by George and starred David Strathairn as the prolific journalist.
