DWTS Pro Sasha Farber’s Cologne Reminds Jenn Tran of Ex Sam McKinney

Jenn Tran smelled something familiar on Sasha Farber that brought her back to her Bachelorette days.

“Guys, do you wanna know what’s crazy? Today Sasha and I went to Sephora and he went to his own cologne aisle and I went to my perfume aisle, and then we were dancing earlier in the living room, and suddenly I was just getting all these flashbacks of The Bachelorette,” Tran, 27, said in a TikTok posted on Sunday, December 1. “And I was like, ‘What is going on?’ And then I realized the scent that he was wearing was so familiar. And I was like, ‘Did you try new cologne?’ And he was like, ‘Yes.’”

Tran said then uncovered how she recognized the smell — it reminded her of former season 21 The Bachelorette contestant Sam McKinney.

“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m sniffing Sam M right now,’” Tran said. “Isn’t that crazy how, like, a cologne or a smell can just bring you back to a certain period of time? Because I was like, ‘That smells really familiar.’ Like, ‘Who do I know?’ And then it was just like, flashback after flashback. And I was like, ‘Woah.’ I felt like I was being teleported into a whole different world. It was so crazy.”

While recording the video, Farber, 40, interjected to ask whether she was still filming. “Babe, are you still going?” he asked, to which Tran replied, “That’s not very nice.”

Farber noted that the dogs needed to be walked, to which Tran replied that she had taken them for an outing earlier. “You said that I was off the clock,” Tran said, while Farber responded, “You’re back on.”

After agreeing that Tran would be paid overtime for her responsibilities, she ended the video. “Sorry guys I took too long of a lunch break I [guess]! Back to work!” she captioned the clip.

Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe took to the comments section to note that she has had a similar experience to Tran. “This still happens to me,” she wrote.

After receiving the first impression rose, McKinney developed a passionate connection with the lead but was eliminated after failing to answer questions about Tran outside of their physical bond. Tran ultimately accepted a proposal from Devin Strader, but he called off their engagement before the live After the Final Rose special in September.

Following the breakup, Tran strapped on her ballroom shoes for season 33 of Dancing With the Stars and was partnered with Farber. The twosome sparked romance rumors while they were competing on the show and have continued to fuel speculation with their flirty exchanges.

While they have played coy on their relationship status, Tran turned heads when she admitted she was staying in Farber’s house.

“Sometimes I crash on his couch,” Tran told Us Weekly and other outlets after the Tuesday, November 26, season finale of DWTS. “I’m also out of an apartment very soon and he has five bedrooms in [his] place.”

While Farber explained that Tran would stay at his residence when they “had a lot of rehearsals,” he quipped, “She needs to look for a house.”
