Dak Prescott Engaged, Proposed to Sarah Jane Ramos With $1 Million Ring

Dak Prescott is done playing the field — at least when it comes to his love life — after proposing to Sarah Jane Ramos.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback, 31, announced his engagement via his Instagram Story on Friday, October 18. “4ever w/ @sarahjane,” he captioned a photo of the pair on what appeared to be a golf course.

Prescott enlisted the couple’s 8-month-old daughter, MJ, to help him seal the deal. He put his little one in a onesie that read, “Hi mommy, daddy has a question for you!” The “o” in “you” was an engagement ring, hinting at the question at hand.

Ramos clearly said “yes” as she was sporting the diamond sparkler in the family photo. Us Weekly learned that Prescott worked with Jason of Beverly Hills to create the 10-carat emerald cut engagement ring.

The ring is valued at $1 million due to the center diamond, which is positioned between two tapered baguettes and set into an 18-karat yellow gold setting, per the company’s director of communications.

“In my business, there are high maintenance clients and then there’s Dak,” Jason of Beverly Hills CEO Jason Arasheben told Us in a statement. “Dak was so easy to work with and was very intentional with every detail of this ring.”

He shared that the NFL player was “involved in every aspect and really wanted this to be a ring she would love. He wanted something classic but with a little flair and that’s exactly what we did.”

Over the years, Prescott has remained tight-lipped about his love life. “My relationship status? It is pending,” he told Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA in August 2023.

Three months later, he went public with Ramos in honor of her 30th birthday. Prescott was featured in a series of photos Ramos posted at the time on social media, including a snap of the athlete watching her blow out her candle.

“So much to Love in this post! Welcome to 30 club my love ♥️🔥,” Prescott wrote in the comments, confirming their status.

The pair surprised fans later that month when they announced that Ramos was pregnant with their first baby. “A little bit of Heaven sent down to Earth 🤍,” Ramos captioned photos from a maternity shoot at the time. “Our immeasurable blessing. I cannot wait to raise a strong, confident, beautiful baby girl with you.”

Prescott gushed over the news in the comments, writing, “How thankful I am to do this with you can’t be explained! God makes no mistakes and nothing is coincidental and for that, I thank Him Daily! ❤️,” he wrote. “I love you, and y’all can always count on me ♥️🙏🏽 Let’s do this Mama 😍.”

The twosome welcomed their baby girl, MJ, in February, which Prescott confirmed the following month.

“Yeah, I feel different, you wake up in the morning, you see that baby and understand the responsibilities,” Prescott told reporters at a Children’s Cancer Fund Gala in Texas in March. “Everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but to want that for somebody else even more. It’s special. Everybody’s healthy and at home. We’re blessed.”

MJ made her Instagram debut that same month in a joint post by her mom and dad. “MJ Rose, Being your parents is the biggest blessing life has to offer and we are so fortunate that you are ours!” Prescott and Ramos captioned the March 15 post. “Welcome into this world, baby girl, you will always be loved and protected! We are so IN LOVE with you ♥️ Love, Mom & Dad 🙏.”

Both MJ and Ramos have since become staples at Prescott’s games, hanging out on the field prior to his matchups in September and October. “Blessed is an understatement 🥹🙏💙,” Ramos wrote via Instagram last month after taking MJ to her dad’s matchup in Chicago.
