Brian Austin Green Shares Update on Pregnant Megan Fox After MGK Split

Brian Austin Green is sticking up for pregnant ex-wife Megan Fox as she goes through “an incredibly tough time” following her split from Machine Gun Kelly.

“She’s an amazing mother, though. She loves her kids,” Green, 51, told Us Weekly exclusively at Jason Felts’ Hollywood Virgin book launch party on Wednesday, February 6. “We’re so excited for the new one to be born.”

Green and Fox, 38, have an amicable relationship following their marriage, which lasted from 2010 to 2021. The former couple have mastered the art of coparenting kids Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8.

“I think as parents, we forget that we are raising future adults. We’re not just raising the kids that we have,” Green explained to Us, sharing tips about his coparenting experience. “Eventually, they’re going to grow up and they’re going to move out, and they’re either going to be positive members of society or they’re not. A lot of that is based on the choices you make.”

When giving his best coparenting advice on Wednesday, it seems Green pulled from his own experiences.

“The choice that you have is how it affects your kids. Whether it is a negative situation where you are constantly fighting, you’re at each other, you’re disagreeing about everything, the kids feel like they’re stuck in the middle,” he continued. “Or you make it a loving experience where they get the absolute best of it, and you act like adults. It’s not that hard.”

Green’s comments come after he called out MGK on social media for perpetuating a narrative about his relationship with Fox.

“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life,” Green wrote. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people.”

Fox and MGK, who got engaged in 2022, announced in November 2024 that they were expecting a baby together following the actress’ past miscarriage. News broke the following month that Fox and MGK had split. (Green previously said it was “a shame” they were navigating a breakup amid Fox’s pregnancy.)

Amid Fox’s split, she has support from Green and his fiancée, Sharna Burgess. (Green moved on with the Dancing With the Stars pro in 2020. They welcomed Zane in June 2022.)

“We’re so excited for the new one to be born. The kids are super excited. Sharna and I are super excited,” Green told Us on Wednesday “It’s kids that bring people together. It truly is. Kids help you reexperience these things in life that you start taking for granted as you get older.”

Green and Burgess left the kid at home, however, when they stepped out for the book launch (Hollywood Virgin is set to be released on Tuesday, February 11), which benefitted the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation in the wake of the L.A. fires.

“Writing a book is a massive accomplishment, and I give [Felts] so much credit for deciding he was going to do it and seeing it all the way through. It’s an amazing story. I’m from the city, from Los Angeles, so I know being in this business and in this city has its ups and its downs for sure,” Green gushed. “I love being out here and celebrating the men and women of the fire department and the EMTs and police and everyone that came together to help fight such a devastating event.”
