Travis Kelce References Taylor Swift’s ‘TayVoodoo’
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are giving a shout-out to Taylor Swift’s “Tayvoodoo” a.k.a. her magical powers.
During the Wednesday, December 4, episode of their “New Heights” podcast, the famous brother duo discussed what team they would want to be on from a sports movie.
Jason, 37, said he would choose the basketball team from 1996’s Space Jam while Travis, 35, noted that he has a special place in his heart for the baseballers from 1989’s Major League — before naming off several other of his favorite films.
“Rookie of the Year, there’s so many good ones. Angels in the Outfield. I’d love to f—-ing feel what it’s like,” Travis said of the 1994 film, which follows a losing baseball team who begins a winning streak with the help of an angel.
Jason interjected, “I feel like you guys [the Kansas City Chiefs] are the Angels in the Outfield. There’s some unknown like …” The former Philadelphia Eagles center stopped himself and began laughing.
“Here you go with this f–ing Tayvoodoo s–t again,” Travis said. “This dude is such a d–khead.”
The phrase “Tayvoodo” was coined by Swift’s fan base, who hypothesize that those who have slighted the pop megastar have subsequently been punished with misfortune. Fans have also credited “Tayvoodoo” with the Chiefs’ NFL wins. (The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in February.)
After finally wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour this weekend in Vancouver, the headliner may be spotted at several of his upcoming NFL games. Whether she’s cheering for him in the stands or not, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Swift and Travis will be spending quality time together over the next few festive weeks.
The insider shared in Us’ latest cover story that Swift has plans to spend the holidays with Travis by her side. The source added that Swift will be hosting Christmas with her and Travis’ families. (People reported that Swift also hosted their loved ones for Thanksgiving in Nashville.)
After the festivities come to a close, the source added that Swift is gearing up to start 2025 in a low-key way. However, the insider noted that the pop star will begin working on a new album and is even considering going back on tour in 2026.
“She had such a great experience on Eras. She really wants to do it again,” the source said. “She loves being with all her fans; it inspires her.”
Swift, however, is cognizant that plans may be altered. “Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis,” the insider noted. “She’s told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”
