NFL Players React to Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s Age Gap

Tom Brady, the Kelce brothers and more NFL stars have thoughts on Bill Belichick’s relationship — and 48-year age gap — with girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

The couple met on a flight in 2021 and made things Instagram official three years later following the football coach’s 2023 split from longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday. At the time, Hudson posted a series of photos from the pair’s trips over the summer. In December 2024, Belichick and Hudson made their red carpet debut as a couple at the American Museum of Natural History’s Museum Gala in New York City.

Belichick’s romance with Hudson soon became a hot topic, with plenty of NFL players and other celebrities weighing in. During the 2025 NFL Honors, for example, Snoop Dogg poked fun at the twosome’s wide age gap.

“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the [Dallas] Cowboys was good. I remember back when the [Kansas City] Chiefs was bad,” the rapper said during his opening monologue. “And I remember when … Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”

The camera then panned to Hudson and Belichick in the audience. The former college cheerleader opened her mouth in surprise before laughing.

Rob Gronkowski

The former New England Patriots tight end poked fun at Belichick and Hudson’s relationship during Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady in May 2024.

“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronkowski joked. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”

After Gronkowski brought up Belichick’s love life during the roast, Brady also weighed in.

“When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one,’” the retired quarterback said in the Netflix special. “Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.”

The following year, Brady made an appearance on a February 2025 episode of “Sundae Conversations With Caleb Pressley.” In the sit-down, Pressley brought up Brady’s healthy lifestyle and asked whether Belichick followed it as well. Brady shared that the UNC coach was more of a “carb guy,” which led Pressley to ask about Hudson.

“What about his girlfriend? She looks as young and healthy as ever,” Pressley quipped, to which Brady responded, “Sounds like it.”

Brady confessed he doesn’t really keep up with Belichick and Hudson’s relationship. Pressley then asked whether he would consider renting a car for her if she needed it, since the legal age to rent a car is 25 and Hudson was 24 at the time. Brady couldn’t stop laughing before saying, “I don’t want any … liability.”

During a June 2024 episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis teasingly brought up Belichick during a segment.

“Belichick’s a smooth operator. His girlfriend’s … ” Travis jokingly began before Jason cut him off, begging, “Let’s not go there, please. Jesus Christ.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick

The retired quarterback cracked a joke about the couple’s age gap after Hudson posted photos of her dressing up as Belichick for Halloween.

“For all you 48 year old hopeless romantics out there just think your future person may not even be born yet,” Fitzpatrick quipped.

Mark Schlereth

The former lineman slammed Belichick for his relationship with Hudson and expressed his distaste for the pair’s age gap.

“That’s disgusting. …That’s just awful. What are you doing?” Schlereth said during a June 2024 episode of his and Mike Evans’ 104.3 The Fan sports radio show in Denver. “Plus, you just look like an absolute clown.”

After getting backlash for his remarks, Schlereth stood by his opinion.

“He’s entitled to do whatever he wants to do and I am completely entitled to my opinion if you don’t like it pound sand,” Schlereth posted in response on X.

Shannon Sharpe

The former Denver Broncos tight end weighed in on Belichick and Hudson’s relationship.

“Hold on! Coach Belichick got a 24-year-old and y’all wanna get on me?” he exclaimed during an October 2024 episode of his Club Shay Shay show. “How old is Coach Belichick? … 72? … That would be telling me, like, you got a daughter [her] age. And I see them shopping together.”
