Jacob Elordi Is Nearly Unrecognizable With a Full Beard
Jacob Elordi is turning heads with his new look.
The Saltburn star, 27, was nearly unrecognizable with a full beard at the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco on Friday, November 29.
Elordi – who attended the Opening Ceremony and a screening of The Order at the 21st annual event – wore his longer, grown out locks parted down the middle and pushed off his face, highlighting his new facial hair while posing on the red carpet.
Social media users had mixed opinions about the actor’s transformation, with one X user writing, “It’s crazy what a beard can do to a man.” Another said, “That time jump in Euphoria has got to be a 20 year reunion.” (Elordi portrays high school student Nate Jacobs on the HBO hit, which is set to return in 2025.)
A third social media user appeared to call out the people who didn’t take kindly to Elordi’s new look, writing, “Comments saying they got the ick when he looks infinitely better like this?”
Elordi rose to fame in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth movies before solidifying his Hollywood A-lister status with his starring role on HBO’s Euphoria opposite Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schaeffer and more.
The show, which premiered on the network in 2019, has been on the air for two seasons but faced a large gap in production for season 3 due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and creator Sam Levinson‘s busy schedule. In July 2023, tragedy struck the cast as series star Angus Cloud’s family confirmed his death at age 25.
“[Euphoria] is slated for January, I believe,” she told Vanity Fair earlier this month. “I haven’t read anything yet, but I’m excited to see what everyone has been working on, and what the future looks like for Euphoria. I don’t really have much of an answer except for right now it’s set to start shooting in January.”
Earlier this year, however, HBO CEO and chairman Casey Bloys confirmed that Levinson, 39, was planning a major time jump.
“One of the issues I think that Sam is thinking about is that he doesn’t want to have it in high school anymore,” Bloys shared at the time. “That’s where it was set and what made sense then. So when you take it out of that, there’s a lot of back and forth about where to set it and how far in the future to set it and all that stuff. But I think he’s got a take that he’s excited about, and he’s busy writing.”
