Ryan Fitzpatrick Shades Bill Belichick and Girlfriend’s Age Gap
Ryan Fitzpatrick faced off against Bill Belichick plenty of times in his 17-year NFL career, and now that both are retired, the former quarterback is still throwing haymakers at the coaching legend.
Plenty in the sports world have already cracked jokes about Belichick, 72, dating a woman 48 years his junior, and Halloween gave Fitzpatrick, 42, the perfect opportunity to join in.
Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson was revealed earlier this year, and Hudson decided that for Halloween, she would dress up as her boyfriend.
Honestly, she pulled it off well. Mimicking the look Belichick sported on the sidelines as an assistant coach for the New York Giants in the 1980s, Hudson donned a pair of short shorts and the same type of white Giants tee that the team wore in the Bill Parcells era. With Belichick as defensive coordinator, he and Parcells won two Super Bowls together in New York.
As the photo of Hudson made the rounds, Fitzpatrick dropped a comment that soon went viral.
“For all you 48 year old hopeless romantics out there just think your future person may not even be born yet,” he wrote.
His post has since garnered 300 reposts and more than 4,000 “likes.”
Hudson isn’t the only Belichick love interest to make headlines for her Halloween costume. Linda Holliday, who dated Belichick for more than a decade, dressed as Uma Thurman’s character from Kill Bill — which some fans interpreted as a not-so-subtle commentary on her ex.
Holliday, however, urged everyone to simmer down.
“Can everyone please stop being offended by absolutely EVERYTHING?” she wrote via Instagram. “Ya’ll would have never survived in the Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, etc etc days. Shoot you wouldn’t survive the late night talk’s shows like Jay Leno or David Letterman. For the love of God, laugh a little. Lighten up. Everything isn’t an attack.”
Though Hudson’s outfit was merely a product of a Halloween party she attended with friends at Disney World, Belichick took time to casually dress as his girlfriend last week. The coach appeared in a Bridgewater State cheerleading T-shirt in a photo on Hudson’s Instagram Story on October 24, even making a bear claw symbol with his hands to mimic the school’s mascot. (Hudson won a national championship in cheerleading at Bridgewater State in 2021.)
“@billbelichick is on team @bsu_cheerleading,” Hudson wrote in the caption. “#DontPokeTheBearS #DemandingRespect.”
