Sharelle Rosado Confirms Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson Breakup
NFL alum Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Selling Tampa alum Sharelle Rosado have broken up, ending their engagement after three years.
“Chad and I are no longer together please stop tagging us,” Rosado, 37, wrote via X on Saturday, October 26. “He is a free man, ladies.”
It is not known when Rosado and Johnson, 46, went their separate ways. The Netflix personality has not further commented on the breakup, while Johnson hasn’t spoken out at all at the time of publication.
Rosado and Johnson, who has seven children from past relationships, started dating in 2014 after his divorce from Evelyn Lozada. The retired wide receiver proposed to Rosado in 2021 ahead of the birth of their only child together.
“Just delivered Serenity ‘Hurricane’ Paula Johnson,” he wrote via Instagram in January 2022, adding a video in which he spoke directly to the newborn. Johnson joked, “Listen, I told them I’d evict you. That’s the worst landlord ever. Especially during these times. I wouldn’t want to be out here either, s–t. Who you telling? Yeah, it’s like that. You’ve got to talk to your mama.”
The next year, Johnson upgraded Rosado’s engagement ring.
Rosado is the owner of Florida’s Allure Realty brokerage, which was featured on Netflix’s Selling Tampa in 2021. Johnson, however, was not featured on the docuseries.
“I didn’t want people to think he was the reason why I got this show,” she told Page Six in December 2021. “I wanted to focus on mainly my agents, myself and my business, and it’s not about Chad right now. He has his own thing going on and he supports me from afar and the same here. I support him.”
Selling Tampa is yet another real estate show on Netflix, but it’s not a spinoff.
“We’re totally different from Selling Sunset,” Rosado told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2021. “[We’re] different type[s] of personalities. We’re controlling Florida. We’re all about selling Tampa.”
She added, “We have the beautiful homes. We have the personality. We have the beautiful ladies, and you have to watch and see [what happens next].”
While Selling Tampa was not renewed for a second season, Rosado still runs the brokerage. She also started developing new properties.
“Excited to announce that @juawanacolbert and I are now working on building affordable homes in Tampa neighborhoods experiencing rapid growth and development,” Rosado wrote via Instagram in June. “Collaborating with local government to create long-term solutions to the pressing issue of affordable housing. Together, we can make a positive impact on our end and provide safe, affordable homes.”
