NYC lawyer who sent twisted texts to ‘14-year-old’ who turned out to be cop slapped with 10-year sentence

A Bronx lawyer with a sick mind was hit with a 10-year federal prison sentence for arranging to a sexual tryst with a 14-year-old Connecticut girl — only to learn the teen was actually an undercover cop.

Tong Hyon Suh, 47, began having inappropriate online exchanges with “Megan” in 2022, including disgusting chats during which the lawyer asked her to send him “slutty pics” and described sex acts he wanted to engage in with her, the US Attorney in the Southern District of New York said.

“Tong Hyon Suh attempted to engage in predatory behavior with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old, showing a disturbing disregard for the safety and well-being of minors,” US Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement. “This sentencing underscores our commitment to confronting threats to minors.”

Suh, who also goes by Jason Suh, first came across Megan on the social platform Kik in April 2022, and struck up a conversation with her — not realizing she was actually a detective with the Greenwich Police Department hunting for pedophiles online.

In addition to asking for lurid photos, Suh promised to “record our own little porno, it’ll be fun,” and arranged a field trip to Connecticut so the two could have sex, federal prosecutors said.

The plan was for the lawyer to take a Metro-North train to Connecticut, take a ride service to her house to pick her up and then drive to a home in Stamford he would rent for the sick tryst, prosecutors said.

Megan asked him to bring condoms, lollipops and marijuana.

But when Suh showed up at the address on May 27, 2022, cops were waiting and slapped the cuffs on, charging him with one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Suh faced up to 30 years in prison but pleaded guilty in March and was given 10 years on Friday.
