Mom of slain teen Michele ‘Luna’ Jackson found accused killer ‘covered in blood’ with her daughter’s scooter

A teenage girl has been found dead in Iowa hours after her mom and sister saw the suspected killer carrying her scooter while “covered in blood,” according to authorities.

Michele “Luna” Jackson, 17, was reported missing from her tiny hometown of Farnhamville late Sunday, with her mother and sister rushing out to look for her themselves, KCCI reported

While looking, the pair stumbled across Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney, who was  “covered in apparent blood” and holding some of the missing teen’s belongings, including her scooter, according to court documents obtained by the outlet.

Bevers-McGivney refused to talk to cops about why he was covered in blood, and only asked to speak to a lawyer, the court docs said.

He was taken to Carroll County Jail while the search continued for the then-still-missing teen.

Jackson’s remains were found in a field shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, the authorities said.

The location of her body suggested that Bevers-McGivney intentionally hid her remains to conceal a crime, the criminal complaint noted.

The teen’s cause of death was not released, though her obituary said she died from a “senseless act of violence.”

Bevers-McGivney was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, as well as abuse of a corpse — failure to disclose a known location.
