Kenneth Fire in West Hollywood Hills being probed as arson, 1 in custody: reports

One person has been taken into custody in connection to the Kenneth Fire, which broke out Thursday in the West Hollywood Hills, Calif., according to reports.

LAPD has taken a person into custody for arson and Victory Trailhead, where the devastating fire broke out, is now being treated as a crime scene, Brian Entin of NewsNation wrote on X.

The Los Angeles Fire Department initially issued mandatory evacuation orders for the area known as Hidden Hills, but downgraded that to mere warnings, according to the outlet. AP

The Kenneth fire broke out just after 2:30 pm Thursday afternoon and has spread over 800 acres already and continues to spread through Ventura County, FOX LA reports.

The Los Angeles Fire Department initially issued mandatory evacuation orders for the area known as Hidden Hills, but downgraded that to mere warnings, according to the outlet.
