Exclusive | Ashley St. Clair feels ‘jilted and terrified’ after Elon Musk refused to protect her, pal says

Ashley St. Clair feels “jilted and terrified” after Elon Musk refused to come to her aid when reporters began snooping around their infant son, a friend of the right-wing influencer tells The Post.
St. Clair’s decision to publicly call out Musk, 53, as her baby daddy wasn’t some “Meghan Markle-esque plea for attention” — but rather a plea for help from the world’s richest man, said pal Emma-Jo Morris.
“Ashley got wind that a tabloid was kicking the tires on her, and she reached out to Elon immediately. He basically cut bait, and so the message was understood that she was on her own,” said Morris, who was formerly deputy politics editor at The Post.
“At that point, she realized, ‘OK, I’m out in the cold, I have to handle this myself.’ “
Morris said Musk’s “hostile” actions left St. Clair with no choice but to “tell the story” before anyone else could.
Musk did not respond to a Post request for comment Monday.
St. Clair, 26, ignited a sensational drama by publicly naming Musk as the father of her son and accusing the billionaire of stalling in striking an agreement with her to recognize the boy, who would be Musk’s 13th child.
Morris, a political consultant who has been in contact St. Clair throughout the ordeal, said the mom “expected it would be an arrangement similar to that he has with his other baby mamas: She would raise the child, and Elon would be peripherally present in their lives.
“It’s a very hostile action [by Musk] not to respond when the mother of your son calls and says, ‘The press is hounding me, what do I do?’ ” Morris said.
“This is about letting herself tell the story before somebody else tells it for her and potentially either causes her reputational damage or harm.”
After St. Clair’s posts on X about her son, she spoke exclusively to The Post about her romance with Musk.
Musk has not officially claimed parenthood for St. Clair’s son yet, although Saturday, he responded “whoa” to a post on X asserting that she had tried to ensnare the multi-billionaire for five years.
This prompted the former Babylon Bee writer to respond with a since-deleted reply accusing Musk of responding publicly to “smears” against her.
“Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?” she wrote on X.
Morris said Musk’s handling of the situation has left St. Clair feeling “equally devastated and freaked out.
“On the one hand, it’s biological, you expect protection who is the father of your son, and there is an emotional tie between them,” she said.
“On the other hand, you are the mother of the richest and one of the most controversial men in the world’s kid. You’re a single woman living with two children, that is absolutely terrifying. I think she feels equally jilted and terrified,” she said.
If St. Clair’s claims are true, then her son is Musk’s 13th child with four different women.
He has six children from his first marriage to Canadian author Justine Wilson, the first of whom, Nevada Alexander, tragically died at just ten weeks old.
Musk also has three children with his former partner, the pop star Grimes, including little X, who has been seen alongside his father at a number of important public events, such as the presidential inauguration and his meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office.
The SpaceX billionaire has a further three children with Shivon Zilis, an executive at one of his companies, Neuralink, including twins Azure and Strider, who were recently spotted playing with their parents while Musk held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Morris said that she does not believe any of the other women in Musk’s life have come forward to offer support to St. Clair since she put out her original statement on her X on Friday.
Musk’s mother Maye shared Shivon’s recent post with hers and Elon’s twins on her own X, accompanying it with three heart emojis.
Tellingly, Zilis’s post of her children, which Musk responded with a heart face emoji, came less than two hours after St. Clair replied to Musk’s post “smearing” her.
Morris said her pal is putting her children first, and was not concerned with the posts of internet trolls.
“That feels trivial to her right now. I don’t think she’s super concerned about it. I’m sure she’s read it, she’s human but at the same time I think that that stuff is taking a backseat to trying to get her situation in order with her kids. I think that the s–t-talking online is probably the last thing that she’s thinking about,” Morris said.
