Disneyland mom breaks silence after she’s hauled away in cuffs for allegedly sneaking sobbing children into park
The California mom who was hauled away in handcuffs at Disneyland as her sobbing children latched onto her is claiming blowback from the incident is “full of lies” after being accused of trying to sneak her daughters into the park without paying.
Jessenia Diaz, 26, is now promising to share her side of the story and has allegedly threatened to sue the iconic theme park, according to KTLA.
The mother, a resident of Torrance in southwest LA County, posted a 10-second video from her point of view while being surrounded by park security on her TikTok @Diaz.v8 following the national attention she garnered this week.
Diaz wrote in the video’s caption that it sucks “Social media is full of lies and hate.”
“I’ll post the truth i recorded the reason everything posted is full of lies,” she replied to one commenter on the post asking for her side of the story.
In another video posted to her TikTok in July of her two young daughters on a carousel ride, Diaz identifies herself as a “#singlemom,” writing in the caption: “The worst way to end the month, thankfully my daughters are safe. I would die if anything ever happened to them.”
The mother also replied to users on the video who asked about the Disneyland incident, writing that she would “do story time later.”
However, the mother has not posted a video sharing what happened as of Thursday night.
Others, concerned over her children’s wellbeing, asked if they were okay after watching their mother escorted out of the theme park in cuffs.
“Yes. Thank you for asking,” she responded.
“Thank you for caring about my daughters.”
Diaz went viral on Wednesday after videos captured her surrounded by Disney security and being led out of the park in cuffs by Anaheim police officers.
The California mom’s two young girls were seen latching onto her, bawling their eyes out and shouting “Help!” in Spanish as she was taken away while an officer was pushing a side-by-side stroller behind them during the incident.
Another video shows the mother shouting, “You’re f–king hurting me!” as she was being taken away.
A Disneyland Resort public affairs spokesperson told The Post, “The woman in the video attempted to bring her children into the park without paying for tickets, something she has done before.”
“She was uncooperative with our Security teams, and APD was engaged.”
Diaz is accused of trying to pass the kids off as 2-year-olds so they could enter the park without purchasing a ticket, the Anaheim Police Department told TMZ.
Police said she was arrested for trespassing but was later released on a citation.
The Anaheim Police Department also told the outlet Diaz is suspected of trying to sneak her children into Disneyland in the past.
Children under 3 do not need a theme park ticket for Disneyland or Adventure Park, according to Disneyland Resorts Park admissions policy.
Children meeting that requirement must be with a guest with a ticket and reservation to enter the park.
