Boeing 737’s wheel falls off shortly after landing in Argentina in latest potential safety fail by planemaker

The wheel of a Boeing 737 fell off shortly after landing in Argentina in the scandal-scarred planemaker’s latest potential safety fail.

The Aerolineas Argentinas flight had just traveled from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires on Monday at 6 p.m. when a left-side rear wheel detached on the taxiway, according to the airline and photos.

“The aircraft…suffered a tire detachment after landing at Aeroparque and while traveling on the taxiway at low speed,” an airline rep told Newsflash Media.

The plane had two wheels on each landing gear, so nobody was hurt, the airline said.

“This detachment did not compromise the safety of the passengers or the aircraft at any time. The company’s technicians are analyzing the case to identify the origin of the fault,” the rep said.

The wheel appeared to detach from the main landing gear as the aircraft landed runway 13 at Jorge Newbery Airport, Aviation Source News reported.

The airline said it is investigating what went wrong. Newsflash

It wasn’t immediately clear who was at fault for the safety snafu or how old the jet in question was. Boeing didn’t immediately return The Post’s request for comment Thursday.

Boeing has been plagued by a series of  technical safety problems this year, beginning in January when a  door plug blew out of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max flight, terrifying passengers.

The company has also been dogged by whistleblower testimony and congressional investigations in recent months.
