Wetherspoons to make huge change at its 750 pubs – punters will be delighted
Wetherspoons is making a huge change across its 750 pubs around the country that will no doubt delight their thousands of customers.
The offer will start from January 2 and go right up until January 16, and it comes as part of the pub’s January sales, with venues across England and Wales reducing their prices on alcohol.
Scottish customers can also take advantage of the bargain, with the deal starting on January 3 and ending on January 16.
For two weeks, customers can make use of the new cheap prices, which will see a pint of Worthington cost 99p, a pint of Belhaven £1.49 and a pint of Doom Bar at the same price of £1.49.
Wetherspoons are also offering discounts on wine too. Over 650 pubs will be offering a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek wine for £2.49, and nearly all of their pubs will be serving low and alcohol-free drinks for £1.49.
The savings don’t stop there if you’re still recovering from all the festivities; Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate (including the refills) will be going for £1.29 instead of £1.59 in 660 of the chain’s pubs.
Offers on food will start from £2.99, including savoury muffins and a sale on their burger meal deals.
The average price of the meal deal across Wetherspoon pubs is £4.99 when you include a non-alcoholic drink or £6.52 when you upgrade to an alcoholic one.
Wetherspoons founder and chairman Tim Martin said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it was a perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too.
“The range of drinks and foods on sale in the pubs is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.”
He added: “This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”
The chain often runs deals and sales events to give customers opportunities to save where they can. To make sure you don’t miss out, it is worth checking their website to check out any recent deals.
