Urgent hunt for food delivery rider after man raped in west London
Police have launched an urgent hunt for a food delivery rider after a man was raped in Earl’s Court.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was approached by the man riding a bike at midnight on October 4 in Hesper Mews.
They spoke for a few minutes before the victim was raped, Metropolitan Police has said.
The suspect, who had a food delivery bag on his back, is described by the force as having being aged in his 20s, white, with dark hair and ‘a distinctive large angular nose’.
He was wearing all black clothing.
After the attack the suspect left the scene, cycling out of Hesper Mews and turning into Bramham Gardens.
Officers have released CCTV footage of the man and are urging witnesses to come forward.
The Metropolitan Police said: ‘Detectives have now released a CCTV image of the man they wish to trace inside a nearby shop and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.
‘They are also appealing for anyone who lives in Hesper Mews, or who was there in the early hours of Friday, 4 October, to think carefully about whether they might have seen or heard anything unusual.
‘Anyone who has CCTV or doorbell cameras and who hasn’t yet spoken to officers is asked to check them to make sure nothing of note has been captured.’
