UK bin man what they really want for Christmas from Brits – it may surprise you

Christmas is a time of giving not only to family and friends, but sometimes some of us like to extend our generosity further out.

So while you’re gathering together any last-minute gifts, if you happen to wonder what your local bin would like, well, not to worry, because that has been revealed.

One man who has labelled himself as ‘The No1 Bin Man’ on TikTok has shared what sort of gifts people should be steering towards when deciding what to surprise their bin man with.

A woman shared that she usually gifts her bin man a box of chocolate but asked the content creator, who has over 8,000 followers on TikTok, what people in the waste industry “would prefer” this Christmas.

He responded with something you probably wouldn’t have thought of.

The TikToker said: “Can I have a bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee? Lovely, sorted. Merry Christmas.”

Not only did he inform his followers on what they should get him and his colleagues, but he also told them what he wouldn’t want. He continued: “I’ll tell you what I don’t want – Fosters.

“No one drinks Fosters! You don’t want it, that’s why you give it to us.

“But most of the time, people just give us stuff which they don’t want anyway, so we’re not fussed. We’ll take it. But a bacon sandwich would be lovely, thanks!”

The video bagged over 369,000 views and proved to have worked after the TikToker posted a video a few weeks later where he showed his followers that he, along with his colleagues, were handed four bacon and sausage sandwiches, stating that “it’s happened.”

He said: “If you do watch my TikToks and you see this and you did give us bacon rolls today, thank you so much. You absolute legends.”

People took to the comments to express their for the workers and one person commented: “My bin men can thank you for this request. I made 6 bacon rolls today for them, they loved it”

Now for those of us who want to spread that Christmas cheer, we have our answer and better stock up on bacon.
