Trans activist ‘legs it’ after sparking chaos at event with ‘bag of crickets’

A conference centre in London has descended into chaos, after a trans activist reportedly emptied crickets into a lesbian, gay and bisexual event.

The LGB Alliance – which campaigns exclusively for the rights of homosexual and bisexual people – was holding its Our Lives Our Future event in the capital’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, when an activist for trans rights reportedly emptied a bag of insects into the room.

The space was evacuated, and some online accounts, yet to be confirmed, claimed that four trans activists were detained at the scene. However, other accounts claim the number was six.

The LGB Alliance has previously found itself at odds with some proponents of trans rights, who claim the organisation is transphobic.

Attendees of the conference took to X to voice their anger at the event being disrupted.

One X user who goes by Aja the Empress wrote on the social media platform: “So some absolute f***** d******** have just dropped a bunch of insects in the LGBA conference right before Jamie Reed spoke. These people are absolutely vile.”

Another claimed: “Trans activists hate the LGB Alliance as much as they hate women.”

Another wrote on the platform : “6 young female trans activists just released a load of bugs into the conference room as Jamie Reed came on stage. Imagine claiming to be on the right side of history and doing that to a group of lesbians, gays and bisexuals and our allies.”

Bev Jackson wrote: “Vile animal cruelty by anti-LGB activists. This is what homophobia looks like in the UK in 2024. Activists release hundreds of crickets, beetles, and other insects – some said, though this is unconfirmed – bees into LGB Alliance conference hall. All had to be trampled and vacuumed up. A few minutes of inconvenience for us, and death for these hapless creatures. Very stunning and brave.”
