Sister of missing mum Victoria Taylor gives ‘heartbreaking’ update on search

The sister of a woman who has been missing for 14 days has shared an emotional message following her disappearance.

Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen in Malton, North Yorkshire, at around 9am on September 30.

Victoria, who has a daughter with fiancé Matthew Grant Williams, is described as a white woman who is approximately 5ft six inches tall.

She was wearing a black Adidas puffer jacket striped down the sides, blue jeans, a camouflage cap, and a pink/salmon coloured Vans backpack when she went missing.

She was last seen on CCTV at 11:53am at Malton Bus Station on Railway Street and walked towards a local park.

The following day some of her belongings were found along a trail by the River Derwent but nothing has been seen since.

Her sister, Helen Moran, wrote on social media: ‘As we approach the end of day 14 search unfortunately we still have no update to share. The endless support is incredible you are all amazing.

‘To the little person/people in Norton who spent their Sunday making posters and posting through doors, you are inspiring. And hugely appreciated thank you from us all.

‘As we enter week three all we can do is pray, hope and have faith in our police force and volunteers that soon we can have Vixx Anne back.’

A Facebook group called ‘The search for Victoria Taylor’ has been set up by a friend of Victoria’s called Charlotte Cundill.

In an update from just a few hours before Helen posted, Charlotte wrote: ‘Day 14 with over 10,000 people on here I can certainly say I’m not speaking for myself.

‘The past two weeks have been full of fear, hope, cries, rain, long days and sleepless nights, so many searches, God knows how many pieces of paper, love, kindness and complete community spirit in the search to find you.

‘This completely breaks my heart to say but, as we are heading into week three and there only been so much we can still do without leaving it to professionals.’

Speaking directly to her friend, she said: ‘As your friends, family and a community we will not give up on you. With every bit of love in our hearts vixx WE WILL BRING YOU HOME. Thank you for everything you all continue to do.

‘The Derwent Arms are still providing a warm safe space with refreshments to keep people going while out searching or putting posters up.

‘Please feel free to pop in. There are still people out searching and updates put on the page so please keep an eye out.

‘Stay warm, dry and safe. Let’s bring this beautiful girl home to her family.’
