Quality Street and Celebrations fans warned to go to Aldi

Quality Street and Celebrations fans are warned to head to Aldi before Christmas as tubs of the popular chocolates are currently on sale.

Shoppers keen to stock up on the festive favourites ahead of the big day will get the best value at Aldi where 600g tubs are on offer for £4.49 – the cheapest deal around.

Packed full of all the classics, the tubs contain everything from mini Mars, Snickers and Malteasers, to Strawberry Delights, The Green Triangle and The Purple One, and are ideal for sharing with family and friends over the festive period.

Aldi’s price undercuts all of the other major supermarkets, but only by a whisker as shoppers can pick up the same size tubs for just a penny more at Tesco for £4.50 – although you will need a Clubcard to get the cheap price. If you don’t have a Clubcard then you’ll have to pay the higher price of £6.

If you don’t have a Clubcard you can register for one online for free. You can earn Clubcard points for every £1 spent at Tesco and these can be turned into vouchers, with every 150 points giving you £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers.

These remain valid for two years and can be doubled in value when redeemed with one of Tesco’s 100 Reward Partners, including Disney+, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, ASK Italian, Pizza Express, the RAC and Cineworld.

The Co-op also has a cheap offer on 550g Celebrations tubs at £4.50, but much like at Tesco you’ll need to be a loyalty member to get the deal.

The £4.50 price is restricted to Co-op members only and all other shoppers will have to pay the full price of £5.50.

You can sign up to be a Co-op member for £1 and this will give you access to lower prices and personalised offers in store, as well as exclusive access to Co-op Live gigs. 

Co-op members can pick their own weekly offers which become more personalised to your preferences the more you shop, and you’ll get sent reminders when there’s any new offers to choose from.

All of the other major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, are selling Quality Street and Celebrations tubs for £6 each, so you’ll make a £1.51 saving by shopping at Aldi.
