Four-month-old boy found dead in caravan with man arrested for ‘neglect’
A man has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a four-month-old baby boy was found dead in a caravan.
Police were called to an address in Plymouth, Devon, over concerns for the welfare of those inside.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested for criminal offences, including child neglect, Devon and Cornwall Police has said.
Det Insp Dave Egan said: ‘The death of a young baby is devastating and our thoughts are with his family at this awful time.
‘A criminal investigation has been launched following the death and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and how the death has occurred.
‘Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or via the police website quoting log 365 of December 18th.’
