Drivers caught in M25 traffic delays after roadworks overrun
Motorists face long delays on the M25 after planned roadworks have not been completed on time.
The morning commute is off to a sticky start in Essex after M25 traffic delays as a stretch of the motorway remains closed due to overrunning roadworks.
The M25 is closed between junction J28 (Brentwood) and J27 (M11) anticlockwise. National Highways said its service providers ‘are on scene working to complete the works.’
Drivers face around 30-minute delays and congestion stretches for around four miles back to J30.
Elsewhere, the Piccadilly line remains closed between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge for a third week due to ‘difficult track conditions,’ the latest TfL travel status update shows.
