Chocolate fans delighted as ‘best ever’ discontinued bar spotted in shops

The new year means that supermarkets will be stocking creative new chocolate bars from well-loved brands like Cadbury and Nestlé.

Some nostalgic favourites have even been sneaking their way back onto the shop shelves already.

B&M has recently started selling a twist on the 90s’ iconic Cadbury Fuse bars, and not only that, but those who shop in Home Bargains will also find a sale on a popular bar that has been discontinued.

In 2018, Nestlé’s White Chocolate Crunch bars were scrapped, but years later, shoppers can find 100g bars being sold in stores for £1.39.

The popular chocolate bar did make a short reappearance in Londis stores back in April 2024, but not long after, it disappeared again.

The news of the return made its way onto social media and a post about the chocolate was made in a Snack Reviews group on Facebook, which, of course, left people overjoyed.

Christopher Shore declared: “Best chocolate ever…white milk and dark are yummy,” reports the Metro

Others, including Gary Kelly, who said: “Take my money,” and Kirsty Hargreaves wrote: “Mmmmm love a crunch.”

Some people confessed that they “needed to try” the chocolate bar, and others shared their hope for the dark chocolate version of the bar to make a comeback soon. The classic milk chocolate version is still available across stores.

Can’t find the White Chocolate Crunch in Home Bargains? Not to worry. Tracey Jagodzinski said she had also seen the bars for sale in another shop.

“These are also in farm foods and a bit cheaper at £1 a bar, they had the milk chocolate one and white chocolate ones.”

The returns of the various bars might make it up to the chocolate fans who were left disappointed to see that Cadbury hot chocolate was not available in supermarkets over the Christmas period.

It was first noticed in November, and shortly after, Cadbury confirmed that it had been temporarily taken off sale due to quality issues. While there were some talks about it supposedly making a return this week, people remain waiting.
