Boy, 11, dies in hospital days after being hit by a car outside school
An 11-year-old boy has died in hospital four days after he was hit by a car.
The boy was hit on Wrexham Road, close to the entrance of King’s School, in Chester, at 5.12pm, on Tuesday, November 12.
He was taken to Alder Hey Hospital for treatment for serious injuries following the incident.
Cheshire Police said the boy died this morning and specialist officers are supporting his family.
A 28-year-old woman was driving the car and was left uninjured and no arrests have been made.
Sergeant Russell Sime said: ‘We understand that this was distressing incident, and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this difficult time. As part of our ongoing enquiries we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to get in touch.
‘The same goes for anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam or on CCTV.’
