All trains on major route to London cancelled causing early morning travel chaos

All trains on a major route to London’s busiest train station have been cancelled this morning after a points failure.

Routes have been cancelled between Crewe, Birmingham New Street, Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes Central, Tring and London Euston.

This means all services which begin or end at Tring are cancelled, according to National Rail.

But train services running between Crewe, Birmingham New Street, Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes Central and London Euston which call at Tring aren’t affected.

Elsewhere in travel news, the Bakerloo Line is experiencing severe delays, with no service between Queen’s Park and Picadilly Circus due to an earlier signal failure at Queen’s Park.

London Underground delays this morning

Happy Monday, Metro readers.

The London Underground is experiencing some severe and minor delays this morning, but most of the network is reporting good service on the lines.

The Picadilly Line has reported there is no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge as engineers work to repair damage from ‘leaf fall’.

There are also minor delays between Rayners Lane and Acton Town due to a shortage of trains on the line.

The Bakerloo Line is experiencing severe delays due to ane earlier signal failure at Queen’s Park – but tickets are being accepted on buses, the Overground and Thameslink.
