Jimmy Kimmel is calling out Kanye West after the rappers string of hate speech over the past week.
During the monologue kicking off his late night talk show on Wednesday night (Feb. 12), Kimmel called Ye a “Nazi.” He added, “In the wake of his antisemitic spinout this weekend, Adolf Twitler was cut by his talent agency,” in reference to Ye’s former agent, 33 & West founder and partner Daniel McCartney, cutting ties with him “effective immediately” earlier in the day.
“How about effective two years ago? How about effective Friday when [Kanye] wrote, ‘I am a Nazi’ on Twitter?” Kimmel said. “You needed the weekend to think that one through?”
Elsewhere in the monologue, Kimmel called Donald Trump “Kanye East.”
Ye went on a four-day hate spree on X beginning last Friday (Feb. 7), in which he posted dozens of all caps screeds every hour that included homophobic, misogynistic ableist and antisemitic slurs, also calling for the freedom of Diddy and praising Hitler.
During Super Bowl LIX, Ye aired a commercial in several markets, promoting Yeezy and encouraging fans to shop the marketplace. He shot the spot on an iPhone while sitting in a chair at the dentist. “What’s up, guys? I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” he says in the clip while showing off his diamond-encrusted teeth. “So, once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um … go to Yeezy.com.”
When viewers visited the site, they saw it was selling only one product: a white t-shirt featuring a swastika. The website was taken down shortly after.
