New artist-curated festival coming to London’s Victoria Park in 2025
Jamie xx is the first announced headliner and curator of the new LIDO festival to debut in June 2025.
The new LIDO Festival comes to London’s Victoria Park in 2025 and promises two weekends of “carefully curated music line-ups alongside community-driven activities during the week, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability.”
Now it has been confirmed that the first of these curated line-ups will be led by musician and producer Jamie xx. Headlining on the 7 June 2025, the artist will bring a stacked selection of musicians along for an unmissable event.
Arca, Sampha, and Panda Bear will also perform, as well as his the xx bandmate Romy, whose 2023 album ‘Mid Air’ was a highlight across this year’s festival season.
Just last month, Jamie xx released ‘In Waves’, his first studio album in nearly a decade, with Euronews Culture critic Theo Farrant writing it “proves yet again that he’s one the most exciting and accomplished talents in dance music.”
Alongside other artists John Glacier, DJ Gigola, Shy One, Wookie, and livwutang, Jamie xx will also bring his club residency ‘The Floor’ to LIDO, including a showcase set by DJ Harvey.
“It’s always an exciting prospect playing in my home town. Having done The Floor and Alexandra Palace this year, it’s time for something else!” Jamie xx wrote on Instagram.
LIDO is organised by AEG Presents, the company behind many of London’s biggest live music events including British Summer Time Hyde Park, and the All Points East day festivals that also take place in Victoria Park.
On the “community-driven” front of LIDO’s offering, AEG has confirmed a partnership with East London Arts and Music, a local sixth-form college, to offer students opportunities within the festivals and music industry.
