At the time of writing, Donald Trump needs one more state to take him over the winning threshold of 270 electoral college votes.

The Republican nominee and convicted felon is set be the first ex-President to go back to the White House in more than 130 years.

Despite the fact that Kamala Harris has not yet conceded, having postponed her scheduled address last night, certain figures from the entertainment world have already begun to share their reactions to another Donald Trump presidency.

Influential podcaster Joe Rogan, who recently endorsed Trump, shared a clip of the future president, writing on X: “WHOLE. LEE. SHIT.”

Trump supporter Russell Brand said “DONALD TRUMP WON” while Piers Morgan tweeted a video of him saying that “the Trump train is steaming to victory”, captioned “I had a feeling…”.

As for Elon Musk, who got several shout outs in Trump’s victory speech this morning, with the tech billionaire referred to as a “genius” several times, he tweeted a picture of him with a kitchen sink in the Oval Office, a callback to when he entered his new Twitter office.

“Let that sink in” read his tweet.

How droll.

Elsewhere, rapper Cardi B – who recently appeared at Kamala Harris’ rally ahead of election day – was devastated at the results, and let go of some expletives on Instagram Live when one of her followers asked her to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I swear to god I’m gonna f**k you up, get away from me! I’m sick of you! Burn your f**king hats motherf****r”, she exclaimed. “I’m really sad. I swear to god I’m really sad.”

Speaking about Kamala Harris, she added: “No matter what, I know that she’s probably emotional right now. I know there’s probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she’s not listening to this, but she will eventually see it. I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the world are proud of her. Women of colour are proud of her.”

Director Adam McKay (The Big ShortDon’t Look Up) wrote: “Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for 2 yrs, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare & embracing fracking, the Cheneys & a yr long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?”

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart said: “I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump. Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry.”

Actress and singer Bette Midler shared a quote from the late US journalist and satirist H. L. Mencken: “On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

Meanwhile, TV’s Countdown dictionary queen Susie Dent shared her word of the day on X: “Word of the day is ‘recrudescence’ (17th century): the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve.”
