What Happened To Julian Valentine After My 600-Lb Life Season 10?

Julian Valentine appeared on My 600-lb Life season 10, and it’s time to talk about what he’s been doing since his episode aired. Julian was 33 years old when he debuted on the show in 2021. His story stood out, mostly due to his harsh upbringing. According to Julian, his family couldn’t afford many groceries back then, so he ate a lot whenever they were lucky enough to get food. He was never sure where his next meal would come from. After several years of living like that, Julian, who worked as an electrician, gained a lot of weight.

When he debuted on My 600-lb Life, Julian weighed about 830 lbs., as per The Cinemaholic. Julian’s wife, Irma, helped him with everything, but there were problems. His weight was a major reason why the couple had trouble conceiving a child. Following a consultation with My 600-lb Life‘s Dr. Younan Nowzaradan (Dr. Now), Julian started dieting. After five months, he’d lost around 136 pounds. During the couple’s trip to Texas for Julian’s bariatric surgery, he regained most of the weight that he’d lost. He remained on Dr. Now’s plan for another two months, after which he underwent bariatric surgery.

That Was So Painful

Although Julian and his wife Irma aren’t very active on social media, the couple uses Julian‘s Facebook page to update fans about their lives. In January 2023, Julian announced that he’d lost his dad, after posting a GoFundMe requesting donations that would be used to pay for his father’s cremation. As per the GoFundMe, Julian explained that he and his father were both on weight-loss journeys, and had their bariatric procedures around the same time.

Julian didn’t mention the reason for his father’s death. Instead, he praised his dad, writing about how resilient he was. Julian also loved his father’s sense of humor. His dad never gave up on him and his sister.

My 600-Lb Life’s Julian Valentine’s Lost A Lot Of Weight

He Was On A Health Journey

Julian‘s Facebook profile picture indicates that the My 600-lb Life celeb continued his weight-loss journey after leaving the show. Julian now looks slimmer than he did when he debuted on the series. Julian and Irma ended their time on season 10, going on a date for the first time in years, with the former reality star at the wheel. On Facebook, Julian announced that the couple had gotten a new car in March 11, 2023.

Julian Seems To Be Taking Care Of Himself

Dr. Now Helped Him

Julian posted a shot of himself and a woman to Facebook on September 21, 2024, with him wearing a protective mask. He seems to be prioritizing his health. Since he was wearing a mask, he may have been trying to keep the female from getting a cold, flu or COVID-19. Wearing a mask to protect others is considerate, and Julian obviously dotes on the woman he posed with.

While he didn’t include a caption on his post, Julian’s face looked quite slim under his mask, so he appears to be maintaining his weight-loss results.

One of the best things about Dr. Now is the way he uses a mild “tough love” approach to motivate his patients. Sometimes, it works – he can’t help everyone, but he always tries. What’s tragic is the fact that, despite his best efforts, 10 patients who’ve appeared on My 600-Lb Life have sadly passed away. In Julian’s case, Dr. Now’s experience and surgical expertise were put to good use.

Julian tried to follow the program. He did qualify for a weight-loss operation. Now, Julian enjoys life, knowing that he’s done all he can to improve his health.

On Facebook, Julian included information about what he does for a living, which is probably up-to-date, as he did post quite recently, in late September. His place of employment is listed as Malbrell USA, and he is employed as a:

Help Desk/Tech Support

worker. Julian started that job in late summer of 2022, and works in Southwest Houston, Texas. After filming the show, some of Dr. Now’s patients, including the controversial Assanti brothers, are perceived as villains. However, Julian is a milder man who doesn’t get the same tyoe of shade. On Reddit, in a thread started by Madsen1122, fans of the series talked about Julian, wondering what he was up to after the show. One of them wrote:

He broke up with his girlfriend and got a new one. Does some TikTok stuff now. Doesn’t seem to be on his diet tbh. Doesn’t promote healthy eating or anything. Just some funny TikTok content. Nothing more.

That was an interesting remark. It’s unclear if Julian is posing on TikTok with a new love interest, rather than the partner viewers saw on the show. In his last Facebook post, he was with a woman that wasn’t Irma, but he didn’t confirm her identity. She was perhaps older than him – if she isn’t his significant other, she might be a relative. Unfortunately, Julian didn’t provide any details that would confirm the Redditor’s remarks, and it’s unclear if that social media commenter is really in the know.

Another fact that Julian shared on his Facebook is that he attended Peoria High School, graduating in the class of 2007. While his TikTok doesn’t appear in a search for his name and the show title, it’s possible that he’s posting content online at that platform, as the Redditor said. However, it’s unconfirmed. What is clear is that he’s working, spending time with loved ones, and reaching out to his Facebook followers. Hopefully, he hasn’t stopped dieting, as maintaining weight loss results from bariatric surgery isn’t easy, but it’s important.

Julian and his wife Irma may not be together, but the duo frequently teased each other on Julian’s Facebook page in the past. Despite Julian’s short and essentially undramatic stint on My 600-lb Life season 10, he stuck to his goal of losing weight while he was on the show. Also, seeing him lead a healthier lifestyle after leaving the series (just like some of his fellow My 600-lb Life alums) is profoundly encouraging and heartwarming.
