Today’s Connections Hints & Answers For November 08, 2024 (Puzzle #516)
If you are having trouble navigating the antics of the Connections puzzle today, you might need some tricks to help you achieve the necessary stunts. This is only fair, as the editors of the game are using their own stunts against you, so finding a way around them makes sense. To finish up the puzzle, there is a lot of different ways to sort the words and figure out how to achieve victory.
If you want to find a different puzzle that makes you feel relaxed, you should try the daily Mini Crossword puzzle. This is just like the one you all know and love but with a much smaller grid. It makes it a lot easier to finish and keeps you from having to spend your whole day on it. I personally like this game more than the original version simply because of how small and cute it is.
Today’s Connections Category Hints
NOVEMBER 08 #516
If you need some hints to finish the Connections puzzle, we have everything you need. This puzzle has a lot of food-themed words, which makes it hard to separate them out. The one category without any of these words involved is also the easiest one to solve and that is not a coincidence. To help you figure out which one is which, we have four clues just for you.
- One category is about different ways to work the system
- One category is about four varieties of the same kind of food
- One category is about four words that all mean something you wouldn’t want your child watching
- One category is a three-word phrase that ends with the words in the puzzle

Yellow Answers: Revealed & Explained
ESCAPADE | |||
---|---|---|---|
ANTIC | CAPER | EXPLOIT | STUNT |
This category was the easiest and the one without any food-related words. ANTICS and STUNTS are often fun ways to pull off something you should not have been able to. They are tricks that you can use to manipulate the situation to your advantage. Using our EXPLOITS for the Connections puzzle is one way to win that will cause you a lot less frustration. However, what makes that challenging is that the editors are also using their own CAPERS in order to trick you in return.
Green Answers: Revealed & Explained
KINDS OF PICKLES | |||
---|---|---|---|
DILL | KOSHER | SOUR | SWEET |
I am not going to lie, I am not a Pickles fan, and nor do I like Pickles at all. I don’t even like peeling the pickles off a sandwich because of how much the juice can change the flavor. This did make it a lot harder to recognize what this category was for me, although DILL is famous enough that it was a fairly big hint. SWEET and SOUR are also related enough that you might put them together regardless. KOSHER can apply to a lot of different foods, so that one was harder to include in this category.

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained
RISQUÉ | |||
---|---|---|---|
ADULT | BLUE | SPICY | SUGGESTIVE |
This one was tricky for me, not because of the subject material, but because I had not heard the fourth term in this category. ADULT was fairly obvious and gave the category away, at least in my opinion. SPICY and SUGGESTIVE were very close to follow, but BLUE was not something I had heard use in this context before. And this one I don’t actually plan to Google like I normally would with other words I am unfamiliar with when the puzzle is over.
Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained
CUT THE ___ | |||
---|---|---|---|
CHEESE | CORD | DECK | MUSTARD |
This last category is a longer phrase than we usually get. It is usually a two-word phrase without an article. This category therefore makes today’s puzzle a little different, which is always nice to see. This one also had some food-themed words, contributing to the confusion in the past categories. If you are aware of the phrase, this category does get a lot easier as you are able to recognize the fairly famous sayings. Enjoy it and have fun finishing up this last category.
