Selena Gomez Meets Donna Kelce in a Sweet Behind-the-Scenes Video
Selena Gomez shared a sweet moment with Glamour’s mothers of the year—which included her mom, Mandy Teefey—in a new behind-the-scenes video from the set of their photo shoot.
Teefey was one of four that made up Glamour’s honorees, alongside Tina Knowles, mom of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles; Maggie Baird, mom of Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell; and Donna Kelce, mom of Jason and Travis Kelce. It just so happened that on the day of the moms’ cover shoot, Gomez was next door at the neighboring studio space shooting a campaign for Rare Beauty. Naturally, she stopped by to say hello.
In the BTS video, you can see Gomez embrace her mother—“You look beautiful,” she says—before saying hello to the other moms in the room. She greets Donna, whose son Travis is dating Gomez’s bestie Taylor Swift, with a warm “nice to meet you” and a hug. Though Donna has met several of Swift’s friends at Travis’s games, Gomez has yet to make it to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. That’s probably due to scheduling conflicts, though. In addition to working on Rare Beauty, Gomez has a full plate promoting Emilia Pérez, her new film that debuted at film festivals over the summer and premieres on Netflix on November 13.

In the comments, fans praised Gomez for being “so real,” and applauded Teefey for raising such “an amazing person.” They also couldn’t get over how similar the two look. Clearly the Teefey genes are strong.
In her cover story, Mandy Teefey shared a taste of what it was like to raise a superstar, especially one who’s been in the game since she was a child. Keeping Selena Gomez grounded was always a priority, she added, recalling a particular parenting moment. “[Selena] was getting out of the trailer, and there was an umbrella, and they were holding it for her, and then they were bringing her food and all this stuff, and I was like, ‘She can hold her own umbrella,’” Teefey says. “She needs to learn how to pump her own gas in her car. She needs to be a person first.”
