She can see that there’s a genuine pain and connection that [Parker] obviously had to her father. She understood how much this man loved her father and how much her father loved him. But in that moment, it was so hard. You’re [grieving] your father, who’s been murdered, but the fact that you didn’t know such a big part of him is a painful thing for Kat.

The truth about Clint’s death unravels when Kat confronts her superior, DCI Ellis Stagger (Richard Armitage), who reveals that he orchestrated a false confession to shield Kat and her mother from the harsh reality of Clint’s work for the crime boss Calligan (James Nesbitt). Eleazer & Henry: With the aim of protecting Kat and her mother from the truth, [Stagger] arranged for Monte Leburne, a criminal already set to be convicted of multiple murders, to take the fall for Clint’s murder, too.

Eleazer: That was a really hard scene to shoot. Both Ashley and I were shattered by the end of that day because it was so heavy.
