Meg Ryan Got Cozy at Paris Fashion Week—and I’ve Never Wanted a Pair of Grey Sweatpants so Badly
Meg Ryan Fall doesn’t begin until Meg Ryan says it does—and she just kicked off the season with her coziest offerings yet.
On September 27, the 62-year-old actor attended Loewe’s spring-summer 2025 runway show in Paris wearing the coolest take on grey sweatpants and a bathrobe that I’ve ever seen.
First let’s talk about the jacket. As writer Marilyn La Jeunesse wrote for Glamour in 2022, “Is it really a Nora Ephron movie without a structured dad coat or oversized blazer?”
Layered over a pale yellow button-up with botanical details, Ryan topped off her ’fit with what appears to be a cross between Loewe’s oversized tuxedo jacket and a terrycloth robe—a piece Annie Reed would have absolutely devoured.
Speaking of the patron saint of the grey sweatsuit, Ryan paired her tailored coat and dress shirt with a billowing pair of sweats that feature exaggerated pockets and folded draping around the ankles.
It’s an elevated version of Annie Reed’s iconic cinched joggers from Sleepless in Seattle.
Frankly, I’ve never been so tempted to spend what I assume will be hundreds of dollars on loungewear, though I’m not sure if I’m more attracted to the sweatpants themselves or to the way they drape over Ryan’s chunky black boots.
Perhaps I’ll mull it over a warm cup of tea and my annual Nora Ephron movie marathon.
