LEGO Fortnite Odyssey: How To Get Blast Cores
Since the launch of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, Blast Cores have been one of the tougher crafting resources to find in the game. That’s because there’s only one real way to find it. Nevertheless, it’s an essential component for important tools like the Gem Cutter, an Inner Fire Charm, or the Metal Smelter.
It can be even a bit more difficult than getting the Jukebox in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, depending on what difficulty you’re playing on. Still, the methods you can use will get far easier the more you get used to it. After that, you’ll end up with all the Blast Cores you need.
Where To Find Blast Cores
Hunt Down Blasters
Blast Cores can only be found in LEGO Fortnite Odysseyby defeating Blasters, the explosive spider-like creatures that can be found in caves or the Dry Valley biome. This is where you can also find Rough & Cut Amber. Being available in any cave means entering one from any biome and finding a Blaster from there.

However, I’ve found Blasters spawn far more frequently in the open areas of the Dry Valley biome. Keep in mind that since the nighttime causes additional enemies like zombies and wolves to spawn, blasters are more common during the day. Even so, it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes of exploring a Dry Valley area to find a Blaster and take one on to its Blast Core.
How To Beat Blasters
Dodge, Shoot, Or Use Other Enemies
Any Blasters that spawn near you in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey will try to approach you before self-destructing and taking you with them in the blast, meaning you’ll need to either time a dodge or defeat them with a ranged weapon first. It’s not as challenging as learning how to beat Golems, but Blasters can take you out and stop you from getting the Blast Core you’re after if you’re hit on low health. We’ve found that dodging is the safest way since these explosive spiders are quick enough to quickly close the distance between you.
Blasters usually burrow in the ground and will pop up when you’re nearby. Keep an eye on your surroundings, or you could sneak up on you and detonate.
Alternatively, Blasters may also go for other enemies to distract them away from you. For example, Dry Valley biomes have plenty of Stormtroopers, which Blasters seem to love attacking, making you line up the last few shots of a blaster to blow it up far easier. Among the wreckage of every Blaster found in the Dry Valley biomes of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, you’ll always find a Blast Core to pick up and add to your inventory.
