Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Yellowstone season 5, episode 10, “The Apocalypse of Change.”The second part of Yellowstone season 5, part 2, is a colossal hit so far, and episode 10 continues to ramp up what could be the final chapter of Taylor Sheridan’s neo-Western epic. In the Yellowstone season 5, part 1 finale, Rip (Cole Hauser) and a few other lucky cowboys head down to Texas after they find brucellosis infecting their cattle in Montana. As such, about half the Yellowstone season 5 characters head down to the Four Sixes Ranch to look after the herd in greener pastures, and episode 10 flashes back to those few weeks in Texas.

Rip and Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton make up one of the best power couples in the Yellowstone franchise, and Beth visits Rip in the Lone Star state in “The Apocalypse of Change.” The businesswoman is impressed with what she sees while she’s down south. That includes a drink she has at the hotel bar in Amarillo — a Four Sixes and soda that the bartender makes with the Four Sixes Ranch’s vodka brand. The placement may leave viewers wondering whether the vodka is real or if it’s just another element of the Yellowstone season 5 story.

The Real Four Sixes Ranch Has A Beverage Label Called Grit & Glory

When Beth visits her husband in cattle country, they drink at the bar. Despite requesting her usual Tito’s vodka, the bartender tells Beth that all they serve is 6666 vodka — which gets its namesake from the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, where the cowboys are watching the herd and where Jimmy went to work in Yellowstone season 4. Beth is impressed by the vodka. She likes the drink’s taste, but she also appreciates the ranch’s ability to profit off of its namesake. This is evident by the way she tells Rip they’re “ranching in the wrong state.“

The Four Sixes Ranch, known as 6666 Ranch as it is in Sheridan’s series, has a real-life beverage label called 6666 Grit & Glory. However, the ranch hasn’t officially launched the vodka Beth and Rip share in the Yellowstone series (via The Cinemaholic). That said, Grit & Glory has a line of cocktails to enjoy, and it seems likely the Four Sixes could produce the vodka through their existing beverage label. Sheridan, the series creator, is the co-owner of the 6666 Ranch, so it feels likely that he would release the vodka in tandem with Yellowstone for viewers to enjoy.

The upcoming Yellowstone: 6666 spinoff will reveal more about Four Sixes, which Yellowstone season 5 paints as the future of ranching — and the vodka’s name teases what’s to come. The vodka also ties Beth and Rip’s story to Texas, showing how perfectly placed they are in cowboy country. Despite Rip’s permanence at Yellowstone Ranch, their encounter at Paramount Recreation Club shows how the couple aligns with the massive ranching state’s values.
