Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero – How To Dragon Rush Strafe & Dragon Burst

When it comes to combat, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero can be unforgiving. Two moves you can easily master that will make a big difference in battle are the Super Movement and the Z-Burst Dash, allowing you to dodge attacks while closing in and teleport behind your enemy to get the drop on them. Adding these two moves to your repertoire will make you an unpredictable and dangerous fighter in the ring.

While both Super Movement and Z-Burst Dash are relatively easy to get the hang of, they are also highly versatile and have multiple practical applications. Once you can use these moves and a few others, like Sonic Sway and Sparking Zero‘s Afterimage Strike, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a master of combat in Sparking! Zero.

How To Use Super Movement

Close In On Your Enemy While Dodging Attacks

Super Movement is a great move that looks awesome and is extremely useful. Unfortunately, it can only be used while in Sparking! Mode, and even then, only by certain characters who are strong enough, so check out DBZanto‘s video to see which characters can use this awesome ability. To use Super Movement, initiate a Dragon Dash while in Sparking! Mode.

While dashing, press the Guard button and the direction you want to dash to instantly move in the direction you choose. Using this multiple times causes you to zip around unpredictably as you move in to attack your opponent, allowing you to quickly dodge any incoming ki blasts and get into melee range.

Super Movement can also get behind your opponent as you charge them, leaving them wide open for your attacks, but you’ll want to head to training mode to practice doing this a few times before using it in online battles. Be aware, however, that using this ability will use up small amounts of your Sparking! gauge. Suppose you want to make this ability even stronger.

In that case, you can equip an Ability in DBZ Sparking Zero Item like Super Movement Master or the Secret to Super Movements to reduce the amount of Sparking! Gauge the move uses. Once this move is down, you’ll want to work on another related move: the Z-Burst Dash.

How To Use The Z-Burst Dash

Get The Jump On Your Enemy By Teleporting Behind Them

The Z-Burst Dash is one of my favorite abilities in the game because of its effectiveness and its wide range of applications. This move is simple as well, so with a little practice, it can easily be combined with rush attack chains to increase your combos and overall damage output. To use this move, you’ll need enough Ki, and any fighter can do this one. First, start a Dragon Dash, then once you’re moving, press your Ki-Charge button and Step-In buttons (R2 + X on PS5 / RT + A on Xbox) with no directional input, and you’ll instantly move directly behind your enemy, opening them up for an attack from behind.

If you press a directional button on the joystick when you try to do this move, it will not work, and you’ll continue your Dragon Dash like normal.

If you time this move right, you can use it to combine combos. Whenever you send your opponent flying back, you can instantly move behind them using the Z-Burst Dash to restart your combo and keep dishing out damage. Using this ability costs about one Ki bar, so ensure you have plenty of Ki stored up, mainly if you use this ability multiple times in a row. It can be beneficial and is definitely worth perfecting. Once you have this move down, you’ll find that you can even avoid those annoying Z-Counter battles by using the Z-Burst Dash to close in on enemies you have knocked back.

Gohan and Piccolo train to use the Z-Burst Dash in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.

To truly become a master of combat, you’ll need to know how to perform Super Movement and Z-Burst Dashes. You’ll also want to practice effectively countering and deflect enemy ki-blasts and unlocking all the fighters currently in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
