All Racing Games Releasing In 2025 (PS5, Xbox, PC, Switch)

Racing games offer a lot of fun and excitement that run the gamut from NASCAR simulators to kart battlers. While 2025 doesn’t look to be the most lucrative in racing video games, there are still some exciting titles on the horizon that are sure to capture fans’ attention. In 2025, there are racing games coming to all the major platforms, including Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Some racing games feature subgenres, like simulation and sports, which appeal to various players. Then there are the strictly racing games that focus purely on speed, excitement, and high-octane competition. Much like 2024’s batch of racing games, 2025 is shaping up to offer a mix of experiences for fans of the genre, with lots of action and retro-inspired racing games.

The Biggest Racing Games Of 2025

An Untitled NASCAR Game Expected In Q4

The racing game genre doesn’t look to be getting a huge surge of games in 2025. However, there are a few racing games that are worth noting that have fans of the genre excited. For example, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was announced during The Game Awards 2024. The cinematic trailer doesn’t reveal much, but does show Shadow racing off. The game is confirmed for last-gen and current-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

There’s also an untitled NASCAR game from iRacing coming to consoles in Q4. At this time, platforms for the game haven’t been announced, but it was officially announced back in April 2024 for home consoles. Both the NASCAR game and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds have release windows for 2025, but no specific dates yet.
