After smashing sales records and wowing fans and critics alike, the Thundercats are heading back to their comic book roots in a new omnibus edition. Now those classic Thundercats comics are finally returning to print courtesy of Dynamite Entertainment.

Dynamite announced the forthcoming omnibus via a post on their website. The Thundercats Classic Years Omnibus collects all 24 issues of Marvel’s Thundercats comic, which ran between 1985 and 1988. Dynamite’s forthcoming omnibus marks the return of these issues to print, almost 40 years after their first publication, recolored and remastered to make them look as awesome as ever. Dynamite will launch a crowdfunding campaign for the omnibus on November 18 via BackerIt. While exact rewards have not been announced, Dynamite has promised it will come in “premium” and “collectible” formats.

The book ran for 24 issues under Marvel’s younger-reader oriented Star imprint, and boasted top talent, such as Gerry Conway, David Micheline and Tom DeFalco. The series ceased publication in 1988, and back issues now command top dollar on the secondary market.
