Olivia Rodrigo Puts Her Own Spin on the Plunging One-Piece Swimsuit Beloved by Celebs

Olivia Rodrigo rang in her 22nd birthday in the celeb-favorite swimsuit of the moment.

On February 21, the pop star dropped a birthday post on Instagram, sharing photos from a celebratory dinner with friends, as well as a more intimate beachside picnic. For her daytime look, Rodrigo paired her woven lunch basket with a sweet collared dress and some contrasting Mary Jane shoes by Doc Martens.

But before you get up in arms over some socks on the beach, she appeared to change into more sand-appropriate gear after the initial trek to the water, based on the final photo from the slideshow. In her last pic, Olivia Rodrigo holds the same picnic basket while cheesing for the camera in a plunging red one-piece bathing suit and a grey baseball cap, keeping her pigtail braids in tact underneath.

Whether your turning 22 or 62, this $99 one-piece with subtle gold hardware is the must-have swimsuit of the moment, at least according to Hollywood A-listers. This past December, Demi Moore wore a black version of the bathing suit in an episode of the Paramount series Landman.

Back in April, Glamour dubbed the one-piece “Instagram’s favorite swimsuit,” and it’s only become more popular with celebrities since then. For example, Jennifer Lopez and Sydney Sweeney both rocked the white “So Chic” swimsuit on Instagram over the summer.

In May, Sweeney paired the suit with a white button-up and matching Jimmy Choo accessories, looking ready for another season of The White Lotus while relaxing with her dog on a large brown hammock. Sweeney also owns the swimsuit in sage green.
