Occults are various life states that Sims can take on in The Sims 2. They both give unique appearances and come with gameplay powers. Unlike other games in the series, Sims can have multiple occult features to create a hybrid. However, to visibly see this, a Sim needs to gain these features in specific orders. Additionally, a hybrid can be visually glitched if they attempt to simultaneously act like a Vampire and Werewolf at the exact same time.
It isn’t a simple feat to gain one occult power, let alone all of them. For a few, your Sim specifically needs to be born that way. But for most others, you also need to have random chance encounters and create a great relationship with NPCs. Becoming an occult is partially luck and actively doing specific interactions. If this is too burdensome, it is also possible to use TS2 cheats to spawn events.

Gaining an occult form typically requires finding and getting to know specific NPCs. Most are found in public lots in TS2. Some, like Vampires and wolves, mainly come out at night because they are averse to sunlight.

Becoming a member of the undead in The Sims 1 is a chance occurrence, but can be easily fixed by visiting a special NPC for a small fee.
It is also possible to start as a pre-made occult, which tends to be very dramatic families like the Curiouses and Smiths from Strangetown.

How To Make a Hybrid Occult Sim
Sims Can Have Multiple Occult Features
A unique feature of The Sims 2 is that characters can have multiple occult traits. Most of the time, this winds up being only one or two states for most lifespans. But, if you set out to plan every encounter, it is possible to make a full multi-hybrid by the time the Sim is an adult or elder. They will need to have the following in order:
- Be born an Alien
- Spray garden bugs 15 times or more
- Be bitten by a Vampire
- Have “Magus Mutatio” cast on them
- Die in some way
- Have a known family member resurrect them for cheap
- Be bitten by the Leader of the Pack
Doing this in alternate orders tends to hide features or lower priorities in The Sims 2. For example, a Werewolf > Witch might act differently than a Witch > Werewolf if left to act autonomously. When fully controlled, you will be given more freedom of a hybrid’s actions, powers, and clothing style.
