Ivanka Trump has blunt 3-word response when asked why she won’t return to White House

Ivanka Trump has zero plans of returning the White House to help her father run the country during his second administration, bluntly declaring: “I hate politics.”

President-elect Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, who was among his top advisers during his first stint, told the Skinny Confidential’s “Him & Her Show” podcast on Tuesday that she is steering clear of Washington DC this time around.

“I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable,” Ivanka, 43, said, adding it is a “very dark, negative business.”

“There is a darkness to that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.”

She added: “The main reason I am not going back to serve now is I know the cost, and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear.”

Ivanka — who relocated to Florida with her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three kids after Trump’s 2020 election loss — said she still plans to “show up” for her dad as he makes his return next week.

“I think I’m most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter and be there for him to take his mind off things, to watch a movie with him, or watch a sports game,” she said.

“To know that he can be with me, and be himself and just relax and for me to be able to provide that for him in a very loving way as his daughter.”

“It’s the world’s loneliest position — the enormity of the decisions you’re making on a daily basis, how transactional everyone is with you,” she added.

Trump’s daughter, who was a constant presence by her dad’s side during his first administration, insisted she “did love the impact” of her White House adviser role – but her decision not to return was rooted in making her family a priority.

“I went through years of craziness, and I’ve never become cynical about I think the fundamental goodness of people,” Ivanka said.

“Hopefully I’ll live a life that continues to be impactful, regardless of where I do it.”

It comes after her sister-in-law, Lara Trump, recently addressed Ivanka’s planned absence during Trump’s second administration, telling The Post the first White House stint was tough on their young family.

“Jared and Ivanka obviously were very, very much involved during the first term and it was really tough on them,” Lara, wife of Eric Trump, said.

“You know, every time we saw them, that was the constant — it was tough on them. It was tough on their family,” she added.

“I think they actually did some really incredible things, things for which they may never get credit, but they definitely deserve some.”
