Katy Perry Drops Deluxe Version of Latest Album, ‘1432,’ Including Previously Unreleased Song ‘OK’

Katy Perry left an early gift under Katy Cats’ trees on Friday morning (Dec. 2) when she dropped a surprise deluxe edition of her 143 album, re-dubbed 1432. Even better, if features the previously unreleased tune “OK,” a Dr. Luke-produced mid-tempo pop bubbler on which Perry promises to stick with you, no matter what.

“And everybody say, ‘Hey, it’s gonna be okay’/ I’m always gonna be around/ No matter if you’re up or down/ Hey, what did I say?/ I’m never gonna let you drown/ No matter if you’re up or down,” Perrys sings over gang vocals on the spare tune’s chorus.

In addition to the original album’s 11 tracks, the new version also features three additional Luke-produced songs: “I Woke Up,” “Has a Heart” and the seasonally appropriate “No Tears for New Year’s.” In an Instagram post promoting the deluxe edition Perry wrote, “I WOKE UP and wanted to give my KatyCats an early holiday gift. To everyone who HAS A HEART, I wish you NO MORE TEARS FOR NEW YEAR’S. I’m always gonna be around no matter if you’re up or down. 1432 is here OK!” See what she did there?

The new title is a call-back on the original’s alphabetical meaning (“I love you”), this time refreshed to mean “I love you too.” Perry released 143 in September, and to date has released the singles “Woman’s World,” “Lifetimes” and “I’m His, He’s Mine” featuring Doechii.

It’s been a busy holiday season for Perry, who earlier this week appeared on the two-hour prime time iHeartRadio Jingle Ball special on ABC alongside Tate McRae and NCT Dream. Perry will hit the road for her Lifetimes Tour in early 2025, kicking things off with a run of shows in Mexico City on April 23 at Arena CDMX before heading to Australia in June and then North America in July.
